The Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative is comprised of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System, Bruton Memorial Library in Plant City, and Temple Terrace Public Library. These libraries serve more than 1 million citizens, seven days a week promoting lifelong learning, an informed citizenry, individual intellectual freedom, enhanced quality of life, and broadened horizons for all residents of Hillsborough County.

Hillsborough County Public Schools is the 8th largest school district in the nation, with more than 192,000 students, and a $2 billion operating budget. The Housing Authority of the City of Tampa is a semi-quasi non-profit agency that employs more than 200 full-time and part-time employees.
